Suggestions to Overcome and Neutralize Inner Negativity- Part 1 -Dr Rama

When we are born into this level of physical world, we are bound by a body and mind--and within that mind depending on our tendencies over hundreds and millions of years---we are a mixture of positive and negative energy.  These energies are stored within our mental, and emotional bodies---through the inner subtle collection of forces known as the ego--which reflects positive energy, negative energy and a gray zone mixture of everything in between.

Suffering often arises because we are used to being immersed in a dichotomous world of Light and Dark.

We came here to experience contrast and boy do we ever!.  And so over countless births some of us are used to a predominance of negative energy within ourselves because we are so used to experiencing this in our day to day over many lives and countless years.  We are even so accustomed to this negativity that many of us are not even consciously aware of our inner chatter and thus our outer behavior and actions that can be very negative ----and we can often nullify the positive thinking in our inner world because of the force of the negative aspects of ego.  We often think that that is just the way it is and we are so used to what we tell ourselves we sometimes do not try to break free into the fully positive.  And thus we often see mediocre or negative manifestations in our lives that seem to snowball, based on negative thinking and thus negative karma that manifests in the physical.

Here are some suggestions to practice being in the positive, if we choose to do so.  Remember, we are creating our own reality.   We have created both positive and negative and yet our Soul, in reality is above both.  If we want to experience and remember more and more happiness and thus, all Higher Self qualities than we have to choose to practice the positive in all aspects of thinking, relating, acting, speaking, and so on.

Remember we are all a work in progress.  Staying positive in all aspects is an ongoing moment by moment practice and it is a choice.---There is no magical formula--whatever we have done, we can undo--whatever has been negative we can transform and transmute into positive without being harsh or judging ourselves. And most importantly, appealing to unseen Grace a Higher Power of any understanding helps to remove negativity over time if we are willing to stay open.

1.  We cannot expect doing, thinking or saying the same thing over and over again when it does not produce positive results or effects and expect a different result

2.  If we want to attract something different and more positive and elevated in our lives we have to stop identifying and constantly obsessing, embellishing and repeating our personal negative stories and sagas to ourselves and others.  We are only perpetuating more negative energy--we are not alleviating the problems, nor attracting positive new ideas and manifestations because we are focused on the problem, not the positive solution

3. We need to constantly practice that the glass is 1/2 or more full rather than empty

4.  We have the opportunity to write and think about our gratitude list---keep it constantly with us and never subtract from it--only add to it

5.  Contentment, patience, and faith are keys to positive thinking---they are already inside us but constant practice uncovers these gems under the mud of negativity

6.  We have to get out of ourselves at least a little while each day by thinking of someone else and/or performing some kind of selfless service however large or small--which reduces our negative Self-absorption in our issues and problems

7.  We have the opportunity and keep drawings and art work of any kind that illustrate what our positive vision is

8.  If we want something different than we have to keep focusing on what we want, not what we do not want

9.  Constant practice of forgiving ourselves (even if we do not feel or mean it) still sets the stage for change when we look back over the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months to illustrate to ourselves how far we have come from our negative thinking

Break Up Your Routine and Do Something Different Today--DR. Rama

Many of us are stuck in our same routine patterns over and over and we wonder why we feel bored or stifled.  Variety is the spice of life and yet we are bogged down and we do not know why.

Part of the reason is that we have become "psychological antiques" as Paramahansa Yogananda once said  www.srf-org

We are hypnotized by our schedules and issues we do not take time to practice flexibility sometimes.

Here are some very simple suggestions---that can make a difference in one's day, even if we do just one of these.

1.  Drink a cup of tea instead of coffee, or change your order at Starbucks by venturing into a new kind of drink!----:)

2.   Take the scenic route to work or if one is hurried, take the scenic route on the way home.

3.  Re-arrange your furniture or move to another location if possible altogether if one feels stifled and stuck---moving sometimes moves energy and creates new opportunities even if it is just across the street!

4.  Just go and buy some unique gift just for you for the day.

5.  Eat a flavor of ice cream you have never tried or have not had in a long, long time.

6.  Get your pet a new type of treat or toy---or even dare to get a pet of any kind.

7.  Venture out with a different kind of ethnic food to try for the weekend, or cook something that is different and unusual---Eat a vegetable or fruit that you have never tried before----even add a new salad item that has not been part of your experience!---

8.  If doing service work, change out the type of work and the place you do the service work to get a different perspective in life and living.

9.  Venture into cultural neighborhoods to get a feel of the atmosphere and neighborhoods.

10.  Go to YOU TUBE and watch something about what is happening in Uganda, the Cameroon, Indonesia, or some other country that basically we know nothing about :)  :)------  This would be a change from the American emphasis on sports and entertainment---!

11.  Read or find some kind of positive affirmation book or card or quote and just remember it for the day.

12.  Change your gym work out routine--or go at a different time, change  your locker----too and of course wear clean socks  haha

Introduction to Dr. Rama's Therapy Tips, Tools, and Tidbits August 2013

August 31 2013

This is the first blog post on this blog:  Dr. Rama's Therapy Tools, and Tidbits. It is intended to help people obtain different types of suggestions, thoughts, methods, actions, ideas, concepts, practical applications of any all aspect of one's evolution:  mental, emotional, physical and Spiritual.  And of course as I write all of these things I evolve as well!  I base this blog on my experiences so far in life and living, education on all fronts, my day to day experiences, my own pain and shadow side that I have had to contend with (as we all do), in order to heal and grow.  I also use my intuition, Spiritual experiences, and of course my knowledge that comes through my own guides and guidance in both the seen and unseen known and unknown.

This blog is intended to give useful, clear, and simple but profound facets to help us remember, understand and shape of our own inner diamond that exists within all of us.  Without knowing this inner diamond, without polishing and faceting this inner jewel, without allowing it to shine forward we can never know our Higher Self, we can never feel healed and whole.

So hope these are great and useful pearls to be able to shape and transform one's lives in seen and unseen ways.

Dr. R
